This tour passes the old villages which are hiding incredible stories of survival of local people and their lives.
First farmers settled in this area 8,000 years ago. Since then this area has many times abandoned due to warfare and again inhabited.
On the way we'll visit one of the old mills that have served the inhabitants and climb up to the fort Paklaric with panoramic view of the former Roman city Argyruntum, today known as Starigrad – Paklenica.
Paklarić Fort was built in the late Middle Ages (14-16 c.) on the ruins and remains of prehistoric drystone walls. It is believed that this defense facility's purpose was to control the significant communication that through Paklenica was leading from the sea to the Lika region and vice versa.
Passing through the villages, you'll discover more interesting informations about local's people life and their legacy.
At the end of this ineresting tour, we descent to the sea, walk along the beach end enjoy the great view of the mountains.
