Anica Kuk (712m/asl) is the largest rock on Velebit Mountain and the most famous rock in Croatia which attracts many climbers for over 70 years. The rock is higher than 300 meters, and is famous among the climbers for its indentedness, numerous climbing „details“ and overhangs. At the foot of Anica kuk is Anica green meadow with a natural spring water.
Anića Kuk rock is the highlight of the Velika Paklenica Canyon and it offers a beautiful view of the coast and the highest peaks of South Velebit. The view of the canyon is simply amazing.
Of course, while climbers use vertical route to get up to the top, we use hiking path that goes below the Anića kuk and climbs all the way up. The last section is demanding due to the pure karst terrain.
Scenery iz just amazing, view is worth every effort! From the top you'll see how combination of mountains and sea look like.
